New pension provider for old pensions?

I have 3 old pensions (amounting to 50k) that aren't performing well and want to move them, either into another existing pension (virgin money) or elsewhere. IFA has suggested Royal London but it's 4% fee to transfer into it, although it looks as though the better performance would make it worthwhile. Anyone any views about RL or an alternative?
