Joint Mortgage

I had a joint mortgage with my ex-husband, when we divorced he was ordered to have my name taken off the mortgage which he hasn't done. I have contacted the mortgage company myself numerous times and they have refused to take my name off the mortgage, even after I declared bankruptcy and they were named in my bankruptcy petition.

I wrote to my MP to see if there was anything he could do to help and he referred my case to the financial ombudsmen but as normal they sided with the mortgage company.

Is there anything else I can do I am at my wits end trying to sort this out and trying to rebuild my credit file

If you want your name taken off it, your going to have to go to court to force your ex to either sell the house or find a lender who will do it in his sole name.

This is an ex between you and your ex to resolve. Not the lender.
