KEEP AWAY FROM CURRY's

Options
Any-one thinking of buying from CURRY'S please change your mind.
In the last 3 weeks we have ordered 4 TV's first one they could not deliver in my area although we live 5 minutes away!!, 2nd one we ordered by click & collect then someone phoned to say they did not have any!! two days later we reordered for click & collect when we got to the store they again said they didn't have one (although website said 3 in-store!! we then decided to give them 1 more chance and ordered a larger more expensive TV. We where told it would be delivered and unwrapped for us, but the stroppy delivery man said "we don't usually unwrap TV's (but he did so reluctantly ) Then when we plugged it in it didn't work properly on phoning customer services we were first asked if we had dropped it or knocked it. (it had only been in my home for about1 hour. Then we were told someone would call us to arrange pick-up and bring another TV but he was hoping to get us one for Wednesday or in 2 days if he could get us a cancellation NO ONE called but we had an email saying it would delivered in a WEEKS time !!! we phoned again the next day, they said oh sorry about that but they would phone us next day to arrange pick-up and delivery again, you guessed NO phone call so yet again we phoned them, and was told HE would phone us next day, you guessed it NO PHONE CALL so we phoned again and cancelled !! it is more than disgusting the way we have been treated BUT we have found another company selling the TV for £100.00 cheaper and free FIVE year guarantee.
SO please be VERY WARY OF CURRY'S they are a disgrace !!:D:D:D:mad::mad::mad:

  • I quite agree with you on this one. Never use Curry's under any circumstances, I have not used them for at least 20yrs, poor customer service after they have taken your money.

For the best customer service I use John Lewis every time. They also have a minimum guarantee of 2yrs on most electrical items.

Agree with Moneysaver, John Lewis are excellant for aftersales and warranties. Their TV's come with a 5yr warranty and Currys couldn't even pricematch John Lewis .

Everyone raves over John Lewis .... I DONT !

They are just as useless as Currys IMHO.

I ordered a new tv off them last year - they were apparently in stock and were available on click and collect from Waitrose store near by, had confirmation email order had been processed and would be available after 12 the next day.
Next day came had an email - tv were out of stock please re order, exactly the same happened again, and again no delivery was forth coming.
I phoned their customer service to see what was going off as they still had my money for the tv I had bought.
I was promised a rep would ring back - never happened ! I eventually rang back again (this now being 4 days of being fobbed off) oh were sorry we'll try and sort you one out, - me no I'll have a refund please, oh well actually we can do you the next tv up and we'll knock £100 off - me NO I'LL HAVE MY MONEY BACK thank you.

    They were c r a p !
