I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun when you get the car. I'm not against people spending money on cars for fun but borrowing over half your annual salary to do it is foolhardy so I'm glad you've re-thought this.
You should try keeping a spending diary to see where your money goes. I started using a piece of budgeting software called YNAB last year which I can also use to track my spending on my phone whilst I'm out and about. It's been eye-opening.0
