For all curious, Sebastian Ward is the synthesis of two names in my family:

Sebastian - My middle name which originates from my Sicilian great grandfather.

Ward - My father’s middle name originating from an English ancestor on my father’s side.


In setting out to make an ideal ready to wear dress shirt, I wanted to rectify three major problems my colleagues and I found on dress shirts in general:

Collars on most shirts collapse and don't stand up to the lapels and melton of a well-made coat.

Slim fit shirts have a frustrating tendency to continuously get un-tucked, especially when worn with jeans.

It is hard to find the right blend of details in a shirt, in classic colors.
