Form k15 Searches advice please

Please can anyone advise how far back the bankruptcy searches go when solicitor applies. We have been discharged from bankruptcy for over six years and have declared to bank. Also had to show proof of discharge to bank which they are happy. The reason we ask is because the solicitor keeps adding new problems which each time the bank are happy with and we do not want him to have another issue to solve when bank are already aware. I have read it only shows the past three years or does it go back to when records began? If it is only three years then we do not have an issue with solicitor. Many thanks for replies. We do not want anymore unnecessary hold ups.

    The bankruptcy search is indefinite.

That's why anyone who posts on here is advised to disclose a past bankruptcy to their lender, even if it is no longer visible on their credit file.

If the lender knows about it, there will be no shock when the solicitor (who is also representing the lender) informs them of it.
