Today I engaged a broker(someone on here recommended them and I'm impressed) and I feel reassured that my blemishes on CR can be over come and get us that Mortgage.
But he asked for further info and all the question I can answer fine. But one if the questions was
Where will you be buying your house?
Are you both permanently employed and will continue the same role once you buy the house to live in?
!
Currently I serve in Army and it is now a secure environment again. But as I live in Scotland and plan to send Wife back to England she will leave her employment.
She already knows she can get similar money supply teaching at worse case.
I started a thread asking if once application was excepted(fingers crossed) would it be an issue buying a house nearly 350 mile away and relocating wife? Some one said it wouldn't be.
Can anybody see this being a problem or if this par for the course in terms of questions. Thanks guys

If you do not tell the lender one of you plans to relocate they are going to ask why you are buying a house 300+ miles away as its not a reasonable commute.
In which case they are going to ask about changes to your income - supply teaching income is not going to be accepted, which means they are only going to use your income.
If your income is enough (in their eyes) then there is no issue. If its not, then theyre not going to lend.
The brokers on here tend to be pretty knowledgeable and helpful so you should really be asking your broker - thats what they are there for.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Well my Mrs earns 14.5k and I earn 27k. Her CR is perfect mine is not. If you care to look at some of my other threads you will see exactly whats what with my CR. However I believe I could get a Mortgage of 129k by myself. Just hope a broker could swing it just for me if the wifes out the equation.0

You should not be asking us these questions, simply respond to your broker who knows your case and is best placed to advise you.I am a Mortgage Broker

His advice isnt bad though.
I dont really have the time to go through your other posts, I bob on here as and when. I answer questions as theyre asked based on the information provided.
You might get it through in your name with some quirky lender, but I think its possibly a bit of a stretch to do on your income alone... not impossible though depending on you circumstances (which is where your broker comes in as they know your situation).
