If any problems with remortgage could I just switch with deals with my current lender

Applied for a remortgage yesterday and now I'm worried that the valuation will be an issue.
If the remortgage doesn't go through, is it likely my current lender (post office) would let me switch deals?

Why would the valuation be an issue? Whos valuation...wet finger in the air or tapping a few numbers on a calculator?
I would of thought you would speak to your current lender first to see what deal they can offer. They can also tell you what they think your property is valued at, by index linking, maybe more than you think."Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0 -
Index linking was 252k which is great. Current lender not offering a good deal.
Got someone coming round to do a face to face valuation on Monday0 -
Been told the valuation takes 40 minutes which really worries me! What is he going to do in that time?0

Ha well he is not having that so maybe will take less time!He wants a cup of tea and a cup cake.
Really though if for any reason the remortgage doesn't go through could I switch deals with my current lender? If switching deals do they do a credit check. Teach have given me a mortgage offer in principle at the moment0 -
Normally a lender would not do a credit check to switch deals.
You have that option if the re-mortgage does not go through (assuming your current lender offers it)I am a Mortgage Broker

Thanks. No issues with credit check as passed that with Tesco just really stressing about the valuation as need the house index price of 252k to get the best deal.0 -
