Yesterday I received a competition prize that was distinctly underwhelming.
It got me wondering....have you received a prize that you thought was going to be a lot better than it actually was......:(

I received a love your gut £50 goody bag - it was a towel which looked like it had been washed several times and a few bits of tat! Very careful which goody bags I enter now! Thanks to all those fab compers who post:j:T0

Yes, but they are normally runners up prizes when I have entered competitions for far superior things. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I've had a few disappointing goodie bags too - pens, key rings XXL t-shirts with company logos them and other bits of cheap merch!
I once won a week of gluten free meals. As I have to avoid lactose and try to avoid gluten, I was really looking forward to them arriving, BUT when they did I was very disappointed..... Not only did the meals arrive in little foil containers with peel back lids (very similar to the foil containers dog and cat food comes in), the meals actually resembled dog and cat food too (meaty or veg chunks with either jelly or gravy!) so I was put off before I even tasted them! And when I did taste them  HORRIBLE! Never again! At least I know never to order from this particular company in the future!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
I once won a picnic hamper supposedly worth £80 and meant to be complete with crockery, cutlery etc. When it came it was the flimsiest thing ever, and all it had with it were 6 very small cheap plastic plates. Very disappointed.0

I won a runners up prize in a holiday comp - Was told it was a 'luxury Wellness Hamper'...It was a pair of flip flops & a Beach towel branded with the company logo and some unbranded toiletries! Not the sort of Luxury items I was hoping for! I was also asked to send them photos of me enjoying my prize....lolDebbie0

i won the mystery prize thing with Bon Prix once. Waited eagerly for it to arrive and it was some orange and tan canvas bag, really cheap and nasty!0

even a flavour i would never use so binned0 -
I don't go near film goody bags anymore after winning one that contained a pashmina. When it turned up it was a rag of a scarf that I wouldn't have paid a pound forComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%
SEALED POT CHALLENGE MEMBER No. 428 2015 - £210.930 -

I also won this from a Facebook competition. Thought they would at least have sent out a box of them.
Also, won hand made doggy treats from a Twitter competition. One single item arrived, with no compliments slip or anything saying what it was. I binned that before realising what it was.0 -
I 'won' a mystery prize from ASOS Menswear's Trick or Treat Halloween comp. They told nearly everybody else what they had won, expect me, so I was a little bit excited as to what I had won.
They sent me a manky, tatty, sticky box of Celebration chocolates that had everything eaten except 3 Bounty chocs. I complained on Twitter, and all they could say was 'we tricked you'
I still can't get over it, especially when others won Adidas and other designer stuff. Although someone did win a plastic dog poop (I would have rather had that tbh - at least they told them what they had won)BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.
comping = nowt more thrillin' than winnin':T :j0
