PHI policy

Hi Martin back in 1995 i was sold a PHI policy to cover lost earnings if I come out of work long term with an illness or something and i have recently been told that because I am a company Director this is not worth the paper it is written on. Please can you let me know if this is true?

Regards

Scott

No. Whoever told you that clearly doesnt know what they are talking about. If you had been sold PPI then that is possible. However, PHI is very different to PPI and is actually much better for self employed, directors etc.

PHI isnt affected by employment or self employment or share holding director status. Indeed, even housewives can have PHI.

This is an public forum so Martin isnt going to read this.

Employment is nothing to do with PHI. You dont know what your are talking about.

WOW, what a great way to respond to a new poster, nothing makes new posters feel more welcome than smart arsed replies like that. Your grammar and punctuation could do with some work as well, maybe learn where an apostrophe should be used for a start.

Are you a friend of Lynne Truss (of Eats, Shoots and Leaves fame?).

She lives in Sussex, I believe.

DunstonH is correct - so the information the OP was given verbally is not worth the paper it was written on.

:rotfl: No I live in London. I agree with dunstonh and that reply was great, it explained why and with the relevant information to the OP. roonaldo's reply was (in my opinion) pointless and crass.

Fair enough. I think we agree that dunstonh gave the right answer.

I sometimes have involved arguments about where an apostrophe should go (or if it should at all), though - but I come from Sussex. Perhaps it is the sea air!

The use of double negatives in pop songs gets my goat. For example, Ellie Goulding sang, 'we don't have to worry 'bout nothing'

Well, I have news for you Miss Goulding, you have everything to worry'bout' based on your statement.
