Regular Travel Costs - Nationwide

I'm playing about with the Affordability Calculator for Nationwide, on the Nationwide intermediaries website, and under outgoings there is a section for Regular Travel Costs. I'm not exactly sure what to put here. Under the A-Z section it has;
Regular travel costs - to include for example:
Season ticket loan deductions
Rail/Bus company deductions that the customer confirms will be regular
Regular car costs eg petrol, car tax, parking fees
I'm still not sure what to include. Both myself and my partner have a car, but she doesn't work so her travel isn't really regular. It also gives no mention to car insurance or maintenance, should this be included or not. If I just include my petrol for to and from work and my tax it is about £100, if I include all costs associated with both cars it is about £300. This £200 difference seems to translate to a difference in ~£30,000 of how much they'll be prepared to lend me. Does anyone know exactly what should be included under travel costs? Is it purely for travel to work?

    This is more intended for "regular" costs over and above the normal, as their calculator automatically assumes "standard" figures, so would only be for season ticket costs, or if for example you have a long commute and spend £500pm on travel costs.

  • So if I have an average commute should this just be left blank?
