Hi,
Does anyone know a cheap / free way to keep track of how far and long you run without having a phone with apps?
Thanks

depends on your definition of cheap - garmin or similar gps watch is the obvious option
if you want something accurate i'd steer clear of the cheaper non gps stuff e.g. apple nike chips, i had one of these and some days it was still 10% off on distance over five or six miles regardless of whether your regularly calibrate0 -
I think there is a website called myfitness pal.
You can plot a route you ran and it will save it.
As for times, your just have to look at the clock before and after going.0 -
I think there are quite a lot of websites where you can insert your route and it'll tell you how far you've gone and keep records etc. Knowing the time should be easy enough.0

I would use a website such as http://bikeroutetoaster.com/ to map your route (lots of sites have similar functionality but I like that because it's very lightweight) and a watch is sufficient for tracking your time, or even a clock at your start/finish point, surely?
This can be accomplished for free by 99% of people, I would imagine. No need for new kit.0 -
mapmyrun.com - just keep a watch on to know your time and map the route you took0
