3 Graphics Cards ... I think the Frame Rate question is a guess?

[STRIKE]Bit hard to guess really since they don't specify if they're using the top of the range Area 51 with a Triple Graphics card or a double / single ... they also don't specify what resolution / detail level etc :/

At 4K (using Nvidia's Dynamic Super Resolution technology), the system just about pushes over 60fps in most games ... (assuming they're using the 4k settings, a guess around 50-65 fps I reckon ... take your pick)Source[/STRIKE]

I will wait for a child to return from school then lol
  • It says it at the top that they're using a single Titan Z on 4k resolution with 16x Anti Aliasing. The FPS will be in the region of 30-40 average FPS so take your guess.
  • Lol filled it in, took my guess and hit enter...doesn't work. Tried on two browsers. Chrome and Opera.

I think you're looking at the three GTX 980 version in SLi. The model in the competition states it is a single Titan Z graphics card which will only do around 30-40 FPS.

  • Also this is a a single Titan Z model and not the triple SLi GTX 980 version so no it doesn't do anywhere near 60FPS on ultra. It will only do 30-40 FPS on 4k resolution with 16x AA. So take a guess between 30-40 FPS. Specs from the competition:

    CPU Intel® Core™ i7-5820K
    Memory 16GB DDR4 2133MHz
Graphics Card NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX Titan Z <--- SINGLE GPU
    Hard Drive 128GB mSATA SSD
    OS Windows 8.1 Pro
    Resolution 3840x2160 <---- 4k resolution
    Graphics Full High
    Anti Aliasing 16x

The Titan Z is the most expensive card, costs £1100?
  • The Titan Z is the most expensive card, costs £1100?

Yep because it's the single most powerful GPU there is. If they put in three it would definitely do more than 60 FPS but there is no single GPU that can handle 4k resolution at 60 FPS yet. Their most powerful version is the dual Titan Z model but the one advertised in the competition is a single Titan Z model which can only do 30-40 FPS at 4k resolution on most games.

Anyway it's just a guessing game really because the video they uploaded is only at 1080p and if you watch it carefully it's not very smooth so it's nowhere close to 60 FPS.
