I've had two calls from a premium number recently (09041619999) . The first time i answered the phone to hear an automated message saying something about a claim line. I hung up immediately but i should have checked the number before answering. I got another call this morning which i didn't answer. i researched the number and apparently they claim to be associated with This Morning. I only use my home number for the ITV comps so have they sold everyone's details to scammers? I know they don't use premium numbers for win notifications.

It doesn't cost anything to answer the phone for you to find out what the call is about.0 -
There are a few people on the 'whocallsme' site who claim that they were charged for answering an automated call from this number. Until the phone bill arrives i'm not sure if i've been charged.0

Also consider registering annually at TPS to be added to a direct marketing 'do not call' list.

As an aside - we have had a rather apologetic letter from a company that used to spam us despite being told by us not to contact us on numerous occasions - they have to carry out an internal investigation & report back to both ourselves & TPS & they mention that magic word compensation - so report these callsproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0
