Car Finance option V's first time Mortgage application

Hi I wonder if you can help give some advice. I am due to hand back my car in a few months (HP Deal) I obviously need to get another car but I am also wanting to look at buying a house this year too.
I want to know which car finance option is the best for when I apply for a mortgage. Is getting a loan and a 2nd hand car the best option or the 3 year finance deals on new cars? I need a replacement car either way however I want to get the best finance option that is going to have the least impact against a mortgage application.
Any advise and help will be much appreciated as I dont know how mortgage applications look at your finances and how they then impact the amount you can be offered.
Thanks

The monthly payment is the only thing which impacts a mortgage and will reduce what you can borrow.I am a mortgage broker.
