Phone numbers?

Hello,
I usually give my landline - mainly because for the life of me I can't remember my mobile off the top of my head! The potential problem with this is, I'm not sat by my landline all day and might miss a call.
I haven't yet, but I wonder whether I should start to use my mobile number more regularly? If I can avoid giving a phone number at all I do, but sometimes it's a requirement...

What I'm really asking is, if I don't answer my phone, are competition organisers going to bother to leave a message/wait for me to get back to them by email?0

Sorry, the crystal ball is a bit cloudy today.0

You can never be sure as if they do not leave a message it is pure guesswork.
6 Should I put my home number?
This is going to be a personal choice but I can let you know some of the ways other MSE Compers deal with this situation.
Some MSE Compers obtain a free sim card for a mobile & use that as their contact number, they turn on voicemail & check it regularly. Always ensure you tick the correct opt out boxes to avoid unwanted marketing calls.
Other MSE Compers don’t mind putting their home number & some have even said that they don’t receive unwanted marketing calls to their home number as they are careful with the opt out boxes.

I haven't a clue what my mobile number is. I have to sit here in the house and phone home then do 1471,
Even the landline, i remember the time when phone numbers began with what part of town you were in, so you could remember a few letters and then a few numbers easier.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Can you not put your number on roboform and use it that way, I've had the same mobile number 14 years so have memorized it x#JusticeForGrenfell0

You can see missed calls on my phone so I could be fairly certain if I'd missed someone, I'd just prefer not to learn the hard way! Thanks though, I hadn't thought of using a free sim.0

Depends on the competition, with ITV several calls over 4 weeks is most common but there are some where they try for 2 weeks and a few where they try 3 times in a 3 hour period then move on. With a few other competitions it's 1 try and move on so there is always a chance you miss a winning call by not answering and if they have moved on calling back will not do any good (sometimes it's a shared switchboard number so they do not know who called you either).0
