    Over on the forum HPC.co.uk they are predicting this fall in inflation will lead to the rise in interest rates they crave for.

    How on earth does that work ?. Surely falling inflation puts downwards pressure on interest rates rather than upwards, or perhaps I'm missing something . . . . . . . . .

    Oh yes, I am missing something. I'm missing the fact that HPC is at least in large part populated by lunatics.

    oh well, I can't say the cost of living (as measured by CPI) has reached an all time high as that occurred in Oct so we are enjoying as actual fall in the cost of living

    They all seem to be working on jobs that haven't had pay rises since 2007, might explain a lot.

    One product is offering 2.99% for 10 years, that's a big vote towards interests rates staying down for a very long time.
