I was Selected as on of the Christmas Bike winners with Halfords.(I can't find the post think its was a fb app) I was emailed at the beginning of November and I was really excited as I thought I would get this in time for christmas.
However we have been exchanging a few emails with them and they said as its christmas they are very busy at the moment and they will get it to me as soon as they can.
After emailing then again this week for an update, they are now saying they are finding it difficult sourcing a bike that isn't allocated to a store already.
Its been a couple of months now and they seem to be no closer in organising a prize to be sent out? What should I do? Or am i just being fussy and should just wait?
Thanks xx

Just send them another email and state if the matter can not be resolved within 7 days you will be contacting the IPM
This should kickstart them into actionYes, I know there is no "R" in the word dream in my username - it was setup in memory of my grandson :A0 -
I won a phone on Twitter a while ago and had a company shuffling their feet and not doing very much for months (occasionally updating me to say they were out of stock etc etc).
I complained to Advertising Standards Authority about it and the phone was sent out immediately.
It does feel bad to complain about something that is technically free, but there are rules about competitions, and they shouldn't be offering a prize if they are unable to provide it. If they genuinely don't have a bike to give you, I expect they should give you the retail value but I'm not really sure exactly how it works. Hopefully a kick up the bum from ASA should get them to do something one way or another.0 -
Is it for an Apollo Feud Men's Mountain Bike ?0

I had this with Halfords a couple of years ago on another comp - but Head Office eventually did allocate one to my local store.
A huge thank you to all who post the comps and deals that make life so much fun!0 -
I feel very bad for complaining for something I won.
No it was for Carrera Abyss 26" however I have said that I don't mind swapping for another bike and collecting it from a store if it easier for them but got nothing back.0 -

Sorry to hear this, I won a bike with Halfords at the beginning of 2013, they were fantastic and sent me a credit note in my winners letter, I could then go to my local store and pick up the bike myself, perhaps they have changed the way they deal with wins now?Win Totals 2013 £3331 / 2014 £4815 / 2015 £3067 / 2016 £5617 / 2017-2023 £4106 / 2024 £2500 OVER £23K!!0
