Has anyone used Quorn chorizo?

I always look at chefs on telly using chorizo and it looks as if it gives amazing flavour to a dish. But because we are Muslim, I always thought I would never get to use it.
I got a YS Quorn chorizo sausage a couple of weeks ago to my great excitement. I figured we wouldn't use it all at once so i cubed and froze it. How can I use it? Is it going to be tasty at all? I was planning a pasta dish for tonight/tomorrow. Onions, peppers, mushrooms all fried up together so would the chorizo do with that?

I haven't tried it, and am pretty dubious about quorn. But you can definitely get the flavour of chorizo in your cooking by using smoked paprika (it comes in hot or sweet varieties) in conjunction with garlic.0

Is that really all there is to it? And there was me thinking I was missing out on something amazing. Thank you.
I will cook up some of the chorizo anyway and let you know if it's edible!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

I used Redwoods version, very tasty but add to a dish near the end if the dish is saucy as it can go a bit spongey0

I use normal chorizo in a risotto, along with leek and chicken.
Very yummy!
Your recipe idea sounds lovely, I have never heard of quorn chorizo before!0 -

Yes it would. I love it cooked like that. The real chorizo has a skin on it which I hate and always remove first. I don't know what's on yours as I never knew Quorn Chorizo existed. I like to use it in Chicken dishes too and I love chorizo risotto.0 -
Rosie - I don,t know if it helps but a majority of the flavour ( apart from the meat) is from paprika - smoked paprika gives a lovely flavour which would be evocative of chorizo - I know some of my Muslim friends have said their food smells like mine tastes after using it - if that makes senseNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
