FTB distance and savings

Hi again.
Couple of things I've picked up on and if we can get these ironed out. Me and the have different accounts and there is roughly £500 a month going into both our savings.
Just say we go for a joint mortgage and we have 6.5k in each savings account will this effect application? Is it best to have it in one account. The reason i'm saving in mine is to build up some credit with Halifax.
Finally I am in Army and live 350 from where I want to locate my Wife as I will still be serving. If successful on application can we buy that far away considering this will be joint and my wife will have to give up her job but should get straight into work once she is down there? Is this something you have to declare? Or as long as your accepted and payments are made then its all ok?
Thanks again for any advice

There's nothing wrong with having deposit in various accounts. My wife and I had about 6 different savings accounts between us with our deposit when we bought. And no distance doesn't matter.0

SG27..
i have been informed if me and the wife apply and tell them we want to buy 350 mile away and that she will have to give up her permanent job then I would have to apply on my own. You may of got confused as I dont explain myself well sometimes. 'But distance is a problem'0
