If you have Lloyds online banking you can view your C&G mortgage at any time online.

Yes, and incredibly easy to make overpayments through Lloyds online banking.

how do you make payments via online banking is it a case of doing a "quick transfer" in the same way between current acc's and savings acc for example (as I am shortly due to have a tsb mortgage who use the same back end internet banking systems still and working out the best method to over pay.)

I thought all the C&G mortgages were rebranded.

Anyway, the ones that went to TSB still do the statement for December but for the last 2 years, they havent turned up until February. Prior to that it used to be around the 5th Jan.

Go through the Set Up Payment option in Internet Banking.

Select 'Pay a Bill' and search for C&G. You should then get options including 'Cheltenham & Gloucester Mortgage'.

In the reference number you add your account number. In my case where I have sub accounts (due to additional borrowing) you need to suffix the reference with your sub account number e.g. 002 or 003 for sub account 2 or 3).

I would do my first one for a very small amount just to make sure it went through properly as it could be a kerfuffle trying to recall a misplaced payment.

In response to the OP my Mortgage appears below my Current and Savings accounts in Internet Banking.

I wonder if mine has transferred to tsb whereas my bank is still with lloyds, having said that we took out the mortgage in 2009 and it's never appeared on my online banking :(

The TSB ones saw the C&G mortgage disappear from the Lloyds Bank account details login. TSB then wrote to say you could access it via the TSB login. There were also letters in advance of the splitting up of C&G and following its split up. The mortgage statement issued for January last year was TSB branded. So, if you Jan 2014 statement is still saying C&G or Lloyds, then its not with TSB.
