Will I have any problems getting a mortgage?

Hi all, I have an annual salary of £20.000 and a good credit rating. I am looking to buy a flat in the region of 95k with a deposit of £50.000.
The thing is, for the last 12 months I have been working for a British company based in England, however I have spent most of my time abroad working as an international adviser working from overseas for this company . My role will now change in the next few months where i'll be mainly based in UK.
My wages are paid into my British bank account with British payslips.
Is this gonna be acceptable for banks when I apply for a mortgage?

Yes fine. So long as UK tax is paid and payslips issued its acceptable.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Sorry to barge in here - can I ask why paying UK tax is important?
My partner works abroad, and the country he works in is tax free. Our mortgage adviser told us this isn't a problem as long as he's paid in pound sterling.0 -
He also doesn't get issued payslips either, not in person anyway they are emailed to him. Again this was not a problem.
It seems to me like getting mortgage advice on something more complex is all very differing in what's required.0 -
Ideally I'd go for an interest only mortgage.
Is that now more difficult to get?0 -
