To enter, tell us what part of the UK, Gold Top's cows are kept?

I think the answer is the channel islands, can anyone confirm?

editted to say: Jersey and Guernsey is more specific. Thanks dengolby.

editted again to say: perhaps either answer is ok??? I've gone with Channel Islands.

    Thanks dengolby.

I took the answer from here:

    www.gold-top.co.uk

    which said

Gold Top and Breakfast Milk are unique in that the milk comes exclusively from pedigree herds of Jersey & Guernsey cows – frequently referred to by the dairy trade as "Channel Islands milk".

Are the islands of Jersey and Guernsey collectively called the channel islands? Would both answers be correct?

The Channel Islands include Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm. There are other islets as well but these are the inhabited ones.

But on reflection I think "Channel Islands" is a better answer.

Perhaps this is one of those where people need to go with what they feel sounds right. Unless anyone else can enlighten us?

In this case Jersey & Geurnsey are BREEDs of cow, rather than geographic areas, though I guess the breeds did originate from their respective areas.
    From the Gold Top website:
"Forty years ago a group of enterprising farmers in England, Scotland and Wales, who farmed Jersey and Guernsey cows"

So perhaps the answer is England, Scotland & Wales?

    What do you think?

I'm going with the Channel Islands, as it says 'which part of the UK', which indicates it's looking for one place, not a couple.
Thanks for all the answers though!

I did wonder that too Martyboy, but I also read

The Islands of both Jersey and Guernsey have, for decades, prohibited any other breed of cattle from their land to ensure that the blood line and off-spring are kept pure.

Channel Island milk is rich and creamy yet is still only 5% fat. It tastes delicious as a drink in its own right, and anything made with Channel Island milk also takes on this superiority.

    but

Jersey cattle can be found around the world.

What we know for sure is that Gold Top, is milk produced by pedigree herds of Jersey and Guernsey cows. 40 years ago, farmers in England, Scotland & Wales farmed them, but is that still the case now?
