Light footprint credit checks

Hi all
When we were doing an initial application for a mortgage promise from Halifax the adviser said that she would need to do a credit check. She mentioned specifically that this check had a "light footprint" and that it would only show up on our credit files for 30 days.
Can anyone confirm if this is correct - that the lookup will be invisible by this time next month? I only ask because I know multiple credit lookups can look bad and we will potentially want to speak to other mortgage companies in the coming months
Thanks

normal terminology is 'soft footprint' - not visible to other lenders and therefore does nothing bad to your credit historyHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Also stay on for 1 yearDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

The period a soft footprint stays on a report varies by reporting source - but as it is 'information only' for the file owner that is really academic.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
