Help!! Advanced warfare on xbox one not connecting to online games

I'm wanting to play team deathmatch, but it's not finding other players?
It's connected to the net, I've test the connection and it's fine. I'm logged in.
I go onto multi player and select team deathwatch and after 20 mins of waiting i gave up!
I've just uninstalled the game and re installed but choose to do the update later?

Anyone got any advice on this it's driving me crazy

Just re installed it and it's still not working?? Any help would be appreciated or if you know something's wrong with xbox live or the game it's self?

If you go into the network settings, what does it say the NAT type is - open, strict or moderate. If it isn't open then it can make connecting some games more difficult.

The main bit is -

• From the Network settings screen, select Test multiplayer connection.
• After the test is complete, you will need to pull and hold both triggers and both bumpers on your controller. This will display a Detailed network statistics screen.

• In the second column of the Detailed network statistics screen you will see a field called Detailed NAT information. At first, you will see (…) displayed in this field while your NAT type is being retested. Once you see NAT information displayed in this field, the test is complete.
• Press the B button on your controller to return to the Test multiplayer connectionresults.
• Select Continue to return to the Network settings screen and check your NAT type.

I would say to make sure the update is installed and applied correctly, if your version of the game does not match that of other players and servers you will never find a game to play.


secondly is as already stated check your NAT type, make sure your routers PORTS are open and NOT blocked by default in your router firewall rules settings. check you have enough bandwidth (internet speed up and download), and if connected wireless play around with the channel settings in the router to find the clearest and fastest wireless connection.


check Xbox network settings and ensure the Xbox is network NAT is also OPEN.

in game if there is a "search preference setting" make sure this is set to maximum "ping" and NOT limited to 50ms ping server lobby's, In black ops 2 there is a "search preference setting" in the lobby screen I don't know if AW has the same I don't buy COD games no longer but it allowed you to search a min ping of 50 and max ping of 300. I always set it to 300 to make all severs in this range are available to me.
