Employer changing SSP payment

Hi Guys,
I've been off work since the start of October due to stress/depression and anxiety. To begin with my work were very supportive, paid SSP as they were supposed to, and I handed in regular sicklines from my GP.
At the end of December, my paycheque never arrived, after several weeks of trying to get an answer through the management chain, I have now been advised that I was overpaid my sickpay as I am only a part time employee (currently contract to 4 hours per week but work a lot more), so apparently my sickpay will now be paid on the basis of working 4 hours a week (which will put me well under the threshold for getting SSP) and currently I can't be given any indication on how much they have overpaid me by (although I can't see how they can vary the amount of SSP that is paid), when or if I will recieve another SSP payment, and if I have overpaid whether I will be liable for repaying the amount.
They have also not supplied an SSP1 form to allow me to attempt to claim ESA through the job centre.
Really need to know what my options are, as you can imagine being off with stress and depression this is not helping my mood any.

SSP doesn't work like holiday pay

Eligability is earnings not contracted hours.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -
What were your gross earnings for the eight weekly paydays that fell before your first day of sickness?0
