I don't know why your broker would be obtaining your credit file?
Are you sure they aren't obtaining an agreement in principle from a mortgage lender?I am a mortgage broker. I still don't know why a broker can/would obtain a client's credit file. It would be more usual for the client to obtain it and provide it to the broker.
Your credit file is clean or not. There's nothing a broker can do to make it cleaner. That's why we recommend the client obtains all three versions of his credit file to see which is the cleanest of the three.I am a mortgage broker.
