Entertaining my children on my wedding morning HOW???

I have 2 lovely boys, by my wedding day they will be 5 and 2 years old.
I am not getting married till 2pm and they normally get up at 6am.
how do people keep their kids entertained on their wedding day?
no idea what to do with them while everyone is getting ready
the bridesmaids and MOB and myself are all getting hair and makeup done
should I be looking for a nanny/babysitter to occupy them?
we aren't getting them ready till the last possible moment and then put straight in the car to go to the church, they are my page boys so need to be with me.
Just very worried about how to keep them out of peoples hair, not getting into mischief, or coming in from the garden with mud and worms - something my kids love, which is great but not on your wedding day!
what have others done??

I would think a babysitter type person as presumably they'll also need to be taken up to bed before the party is done?0

Page boys don't really need to be with the bride, but then I'm not sure what duties you've given them to be saying that they need to be with you though.
Assume that it's normal page boy stuff (2yr old is maybe ringbearer and 5yr old leaflets??) then you should leave them with your H2B, there's no reason for them to be with you really. They can go with the male participants and wait at your wedding venue and still do their duties, but as mention I'm not sure what you're getting them to do.
Given they're two boys it would be best for them to be with their Dad, they won't be interested in "girlie" stuff, and the men normally have very very little to do other than put a suit on and get to the venue, so yeah I'd leave them with the men, chances are you and the other ladies will be constantly involved in worrying/ sorting them out, and it will just wear you out early on, let the men run around after them instead
That being said though, if they do actually need to stay with you for a particular reason, I'd find their favourite movie/ game and put it on. I know some people hate using TV/ video games as a babysitter, but needs must and all, no point having the start of your day being manic and fussing over them, the fuss should be made on you.0 -

I was going to suggest this - leave them with your OH whilst you get your hair and make-up done, then have someone come and pick them up for when they need to be with you. Are you getting hair and make-up done at the venue/hotel or is it off-site? If you're getting it done at the venue then generally hair & make-up people will do the bride's make-up first but her hair last, so as an alternative once your bridesmaids/mum are ready they could take over looking after the kids for a bit whilst your OH gets ready. And if all else fails just sit them in front of a DVD for an hour or so..."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -

Do any of your friends have older (like teenage) children or a regular babysitter you could hire for the morning- Maybe take them to a softplay place for an hour and then home, snack and into the pageboy suits (and the advantage of a bit of excess energy burned off
) or even a friend have them to play with theirs for a couple of hours in the morning.
With all the grown up boring stuff going on at home any away fixture for them might be better whilst you are all getting readyI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
