Games on Tablet or Tablet for Games?

Would this tablet let me play my games currently played on the laptop?:
Linx 10 Windows Tablet
I'm getting fed up of being the only one in the lounge NOT playing on a blooming tablet! OH, Step-daughter and her partner, Stepson, even both my ruddy pensioner parents have got a tablet each!
But I don't want an android device because I'm not interested in the games they have. I play a lot of PC games which I download from Bigfishgames and, as far as I am aware, they can' be played on an android device, so no Kindles for instance.
So my question is, if it says it's a windows tablet, will it operate like a windows laptop?

it would depend what games you are actually playing.
not all games are suitable, or designed for touch screens.
Also tablets tend to be less powerful, so they are more likely to struggle to run certain games0 -
An article you may be interested in regarding gaming on a Windows 8 tablet (although not the same one you're looking at):

General conclusion is doable but experience varies.0 -
Thanks for the insights guys.
I'm hugely addicted to time management and hidden object games. I'm not talking about WoW or anything like that. They are pretty small I think.
I hadn't really thought about the touch screen issue though... might be a problem. Hmmm0 -
You're talking about Flash games a lot then? Yes Windows can do those, Android can't (officially, or well). But you're likely to be stuck with a game designed for mouse and keyboard, using your fingers. You can plug a mouse and/or keyboard into this tablet, but by the time you do that, sitting in the lounge, you might be better off with a laptop (but would cost more of course).0
