Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm currently looking for work and would like to enhance my employability/enhance my CV by getting my own enhanced DBS check done. Is this possible? I've looked online but not sure if the info I'm looking at is legit. If I can, and someone could please point me in the right direction I would be very grateful. Thanks.

It's not possible to get an ehanced DBS for yourself. You can apply for a basic check from Disclosure Scotland (even if you're not in or from Scotland). On the Gov.uk Disclosure and Barring Service pages it states:
Individuals and the self-employed cannot apply for a DBS certificate of their own criminal record, as they cannot ask an exempted question of themselves.
Options currently available are:- a self-employed person who is eligible for a DBS check can ask the organisation that wishes to contract their services to apply for their DBS check
- individuals can get a basic check from Disclosure Scotland which provides details of any ‘unspent’ convictions
