Hail!
I am currrently on ESA and wife works under 16h.
I'm in the support group. my question in short is how do people like me get a mortage if ever? We are currently getting help with the rent but landlady is getting forced to sell by her ex partner. We would like to buy the house or at least his half of the mortage.
If your reply would require more info , please ask.
Thanks.

Speak to a broker. There are 1 or 2 high street lenders who will consider it.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I don't think banks will accept a loan to be used as a deposit. Also, even ignoring the loan, you are talking about a 5% deposit which will restrict an, already small or non-existent, number of potential lenders.0 -
The only loans you can generally use for deposits are the help to buy scheme etc. What is your household income per year?0
