Fair enough - I was under the impression that things like this would be removed from a credit file 6 years after the end date, not the start date.
However, many lenders insist on six years from date of discharge on a bankruptcy and as it will be visible on the solicitor's bankruptcy search, the fact there is nothing on the credit file is not a good reason to omit it.I am a mortgage broker. Couldn't quote you're the questions are post KS, but what a difference that comma makes!

The Bankruptcy question should be answered as yes if you have had a bankruptcy/IVA or Debt Relief Order within the last 6 years OR still have an outstanding Bankruptcy Restriction Order.
Imo that is a resounding YES answer.0 -
The honest answer is see a mortgage broker and then let them establish the facts and complete the application.
We deal with the lenders day in and day out and because Halifax may be deemed allowable of the circumstances, it does not mean they are most suitable lender/product.
With this sort of specific situation, you would certainly benefit from seeing/speaking to an experienced broker.
