RI told them I don't get bank statements and sent them payslips instead which showed my payrise but obviously they can't see all the ins and outs of your daily spending. Just increase some of your outgoings on you review to absorb the difference. I always worry about this at review time but they always seem more concerned that I can continue to make the payments, rather than asking me to increase. I really wouldn't worry about it :).
  • Was that since they have been trying to insist on bank statements and payslips then, DebtSlave?
  • Yes, it was last month. They've never asked for them before (been with them 7 years) and then I got a letter asking me to send them in, which I ignored, and then when they rang me to arrange the Review the lady said its a new policy, and I think she meant like an actual Government thing, not just their own. They were fine with just payslips though, I just photocopied my most recent two and posted them, although they never even mentioned them in the Review.
  • Yes I also got asked for bank statements in a letter- I didn't call in to book a review and then they sent me a letter with my review and said if anything had changed to let them know, if not then everything would stay the same
  • Well I dont know why they are pushing for so much stuff with me then.
I'll just have to bluff it I guess but either way there is no way I can give over the extra money. I know it would pay it all of earlier but God it would be nice to afford birthdays and Christmas a little easier for a change.

Anyone know what the current accepted trigger limits are?

I never did the telephone review - I just updated the budget online and sent them a message to say I had done it. They never queried that.
  • I've got my review tomorrow and I've been worrying myself sick about it. I've been asked for mortgage statements and all sorts to send them but I haven't. I don't want to disclose every bit of spending. Like you our incomings have slightly increased and this year we have felt like we have a life again. The plan is not designed if things go wrong which it has for us the past few months. We have actually been able to save as our car will need replacing this year. If I disclose to them then I don't know what we would do. Did everything go ok with your review? Did you give them up to date information? My stomach has been in knots incase they say I have to pay more!
  • I had my annual review with Payplan last week and they never once mentioned that I'd have to send in payslips or bank statements. I've changed my job and am earning more since last year too. I'm paying them a bit extra, but not a lot. They did ask me at the start of the call if I still had access to a scanner which I thought was a bit odd though. Maybe I'll get a letter asking for scans of these now? Having said that, I did just log onto my account with them online and there is no email or anything sat there. I really wouldn't worry.

Somewhere online I also found a list of accepted limits on expenditure which I used as a guide when filing my details this year. Might be worth a google to see how far you could push your spending?
