job sharing.

Options
ok i thought i would share this with you:D

up until just recently me or my partner was in full time work.
she was the last to have a full time job, she was out the house 7am until 6 pm and earning minimum wage.

she had to leave cos of depression so i started looking for full time work, anyway we started doing some work from home packing party stuff for a local company, i landed a part time cleaning job 5.30 am - 8.30 am and then somewhere else 8.30am - 10.30 am. and then again at 7.30 pm -9.30 pm.

she does 11.30 am - 1pm and then 5pm - 7pm.

now with all that part time work and the home work we are earning more than when one of us was working full time :money: and we are at home a lot more, we get to see the kids a lot more and its just great, no more 10 hour shifts in a sweaty factory.

so has anyone else got any job sharing stories?

yea we worked out that we see each other (and the kids) more then before, not forgetting when your doing long hours you tend to be tired and go to bed, when your doing hours here and there theres no need to go to bed early :money:

and her 5pm- 7pm is at a school so she got 6 weeks off, with pay.

and its all local so theres minimal travel.
