If they wanted to spend again it only takes a click of a button to increase limits.
Assuming the lender doesn't carry out another credit search and sees that they have a loan for £8000.
It's just what I would do so the OP doesn't have to follow the advice.

I don't think lender will be that worried about the loan, that's what APR's are there for.0 -

Well guys thanks for everyone's feedback, I got accepted on the car through VW and I'm picking it up Monday!
They also actually wanted a lower deposit so I've paid off a chunk off my cards and I'm about to lower the limits on them so they know I cant be tempted (not that I ever would have been).
