Redrow's easi-buy scheme

Can anyone help/advise/share any experiences of Redrow's easi-buy scheme?
I am in the unfortunate position that if I sold my Debut house that I cant afford to pay back the £9k debt to redrow.
Anyone else been in this position who can offer any advice would be greatly appreciated:-
Some of the unanswered questions I have raised with Redrow include:-
Whether the scheme was government backed ie have they already received the £9k from the government?
What happens in the case of negative equity due to the falling value of the property?
Whether the debt could be written off or reduced in line with the 25% fall in value of the property?
Whether any repayment scheme would be liable to interest charges?
How legitimate is the debt ie whether it was mere sales pitch or are they in a position to stop a sale or instruct baliffs etc?

Comments

  • Hi, did you get any further advice with regard to the above. I have the same queries and was wondering whether Redrow responded to you.
