A (built-in) washing machine that can rinse properly?

Our 3 yr old Hotpoint has packed up, and I'm afraid to repeat a mistake of buying a washing machine that rinses very poorly. I was using the extra rinse option + running a whole rinse cycle afterwards on most things and it was still inadequate. Water lever when rinsing wasn't even reaching the door( my old one before that had water about halfway up the door).
So I was wondering if anyone recently purchased a washing machine that uses a proper amount of water to rinse, please recommend me one. Desperate:(
