Car stereo codes

Hi folks,already posted this in the motoring forum,but so far no luck,so thought I would ask on here as I know there are a few petrolheads about here!!!
I need the code for my Vauxhall Vectra stereo system.
I replaced the old broken one with this current one which came "unlocked", however after replacing the car battery the other day the stero now needs a code entered to unlock it.
Tried asking the guy I bought it off,but as it was a while ago he is none the wiser.
It is a Siemens cd multi disc for an Opel,which is the same as the Philips one which I replaced it with.

Don't know if this will be of any use to you, I haveny used any of these services. Years back it was rumoured that a few hours in the freezer would reset to default, usually 0000 or 1234, but this may well be urban myth.
