Getting a Broker

Just out of interest, as I won't be looking for a new mortgage for a year or so, how do you go about getting a broker?

The two times I've needed a mortgage, I've just gone with Nationwide who I bank with.

If it makes any different, it will be a single application (single mum) who works part time and I have quite a bit of equity in my property at the moment as a deposit.

Also, how much do brokers cost?
Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
Mortgages (End 2017) - £180,235.03
(End 2021) - £131,215.25 DID IT!!!
(End 2022) - Target £116,213.81

Have you got friends or family who can recommend anyone?
Personally I use google when im looking for a tradesman and give them a call/see how I get on with them. If I were not a broker, I think I would just do the same for that.

Costs can vary from £0- 1000+. It usually depends on the amount of commission, complexity of the case and experience of the broker.
