Good news on my damaged prize...

Won a Facebook competition in October (along with a number of others) - a casserole dish.
There was a delay in the prize being sent out, and I didn't expect to get it until this month, but it turned up on the 23rd December.
It was a good quality name product, but somewhere along the way, before it got to me, it was severely damaged- chipped, cracked and the knob on the lid was rolling around inside leaving a big hole in the lid.
I took some photos of the damage and private messaged the company to show them what I had received.
This morning had a reply and they are going to get me sent a replacement.
Good that there are companies who take customer service seriously.

Yea, they're not all meanies
.
When SIL was out in Afghanistan a couple of years ago I went all out to win him a Tassimo as a "Welcome home" present. Was thrilled to win it the very week after he came back and they delivered it within 48 hours.
Unfortunately when they turned it on, all the lights came on indicating there was a "Contact manufacturer" problem. I emailed to ask whether they should send it back and the blog owner sent a lovely reply and organised another machine to replace it which arrived the next day
Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0
