Changing mortgage whilst unemployed??

Hi,
Previously bought a property with my brother named on the mortgage. I am now living abroad due to my fiances job so I am technically unemployed. The property is rented out but my brother wants to be taken off the mortgage. What options do I have in terms of remortgaging and taking my brothers name off whilst unemployed? Fiances basic salary will not cover the mortgage. Ideally I would like to keep the property solely in my name.

You may be able to get a BTL on it but without doubt you are going to need a broker as the pool of lenders who will look at this is so small you are likely to struggle to find anyone for it. Potentially you might be able to get it through with a high street lender but it would come down to the finer details.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
