I picked up a Brevile VDF 102 deep fat fryer at Morrison's yesterday for £25. The cheapest I've found it elsewhere is £49.99 on Amazon. I haven't used it yet, so I can't comment on how good it is yet, but it seems to have reasonable reviews for the price.

They also had the VDF100 for £35. As far as I can see, it's the same as the 102 but with a stainless steel finish rather than black.
