Hello to self and anyone else who cares to read,
I'm new to posting but have been a long term reader. Over the years I've managed to change my food shopping habits( meal planning and lists), declutter, batch cook, fly clean and buy bargains. It's the last area I have a problem with, I buy too many bargains! It's finally time to deal with the debts now. I can't face doing a SOA at the moment but will put my debts in my signature.
I'm really doing this diary as a way of shaming myself into less spending, a bit like the only way I could lose weight was to weigh in front of others(WW). I'm always making lists of who I owe and start with good intentions but it just take so long to make a difference. Joining this forum means I can't lose my list and will hopefully see my debts disappearing. I aim to update weekly but I won't hold myself to that. Little and often is the way forward and with that in mind I will phone my credit card companies on Monday to add £20 a month to my minimum payments.
Happy New Year everyone and good luck to you all.

So today is going to be a no spend day and I've sold £40 of items on FB. This will go on my 'debt tin' and each £100 I save I'll pay off a card. We're eating Xmas leftovers today and I'll do my meal plan later to use up the rest. Back to work tomorrow so shouldn't be spending any money! Not sure what happened to my signature, will try again.
Good luck everyoneBarclaycard £6800, Halifax £3600, Next £648, Storecard £2450 -
Good to be back at work, less time at laptop, so fewer online spending opportunities. To help with this I've unsubscribed to loads of emails. Last of potatoes used tonight for wedges and fried eggs so into freezer for leftovers tomorrow. With pasta and tins hoping to get through to Friday without shopping. Not very hopeful on this one though! Also won £25 on lotto so that's in debt tin too
Keep trying everyoneBarclaycard £6800, Halifax £3600, Next £648, Storecard £2450
