Hello - Newbie Needing Some Advice

Hello all

I am relatively new to comping and I am really enjoying it, had a couple of small wins so far.

I was wondering with regards to WEM, are they obvious? I set up a comping email as instructed and I untick all I can but I still get a lot of 'junk'. I filter through this by title assuming that it would be obvious if I had one.

I figure the email title would have a 'congratulations' or 'winner' - is this a good assumption?

I ask because a lot of you lucky winners get notification by email and so far my winnings have just turned up in the post.

hi & welcome

there's a great thread that shows us where a lot of
wems/wins can come from & how they inform us..

How you are informed of wins..

yes, some just 'turn up' &
some are obvious 'wems'
but I've had ones that aren't obvious & some don't say
'winner/etc on them,
always best to check through

there's some other threads with lots of
advice on here as well,
will try to find them.

I recently deleted a WEM by mistake. it appeared to be from an individual and didn't say congratulations or winner or anything like that in the title. It looked like it was trying to sell the prize, rather thatn telling me I had won it.

Thankfully, the person emailed me again a few days later, asking when I wanted to collect my winning tickets and I responded to this just in time.

I then spent a frantic few hours searching my deleted emails for the original one, plus any other potential missed WEMs. I now open every email just in case!
