Debt free by 2016!

Hi,
Thought I'd start a debt free diary here to help me push for a hopefully debt free 2016!

I owe the following
Bank of Scotland Cc £1800 Apr approx 30%
Tsb credit card -£1828.07 apr 0%
Nationwide loan -£5148 approx 5% should be lower after today's payment.
PayPal credit - £248 0% £22 a month for 12 months.
Very account - £349 12 months interest free

Total - £9373.07

My first port of call will be to transfer the balance of my bos cc to my tsb cc for 15months 0% interest.

At the moment I am paying large amounts off my TSB card when I get paid and loose change amounts to my credit card and PayPal balance to reduce them it's working quite well. I wanted to track this as I hope it will encourage others and give me a sense of achievement if I manage to do this this year.
I will continue my loan payments as normal until the cards are paid.

I am 30 years year old, married and no kids. I have the mortgage in my name as I purchased the house alone and pay for the mortgage.
Quite reasonable wage but lady has her own debt which I will help when possible.

This months aim.
Pay 1k off TSB credit card
Pay £22 min payment for PayPal
Pay £30 off very account.

I am aiming some ebaying should help also so watch this space.

Any comments or feedback or if I have left anything out please let me know.
I will be working on my expenditure on my next few posts.

Regards reuben

  • Along side this debt diary I will be working to reduce my outgoing to aid.
Eventually to add I would like to have some savings! For the first time ever!

Looking at my outgoing this I pay in excess which will have to go this month,
Credit expert £9.99 month ... Squash that as soon as possible.
Water bill - I currently pay £49 a month and there is only 2 of us. We shower daily and no dishwasher. Using a calculator it looks like we can get this down to around £30 a month with a water meter
Dentist- £12 a month. My partner has recently enrolled onto a nhs scheme paid through tax. I should be able to stop this as a certain amount of treatments and insurances are included.

I should save around £50 a month just by dealing with these this month.
  • Bank of Scotland Cc £1800 Apr approx 30% now moved to tab credit card for 15months o%
Tsb credit card -£1828.07 apr 0% now £3764 with balance transfer charges.
    Nationwide loan -£5148 approx 5% now £4937
    PayPal credit - £248 0% £22 a month for 12 months. Now £242.75
Very account - £349 12 months interest free

Coming down in little amount until payday.
Have contacted the council about banding and made alittle money on eBay which will go towards these debts. Feeling good atm
