Proof of address and bank details

Me and my OH are going to see a mortgage advisor soon and are gathering all our documents together to take with us.
However something has occurred to me that might be a problem: when I left home for university ten years ago I didn't change the address on my bank account, but left it as the address of my parents house. Since graduating I've lived in a few different places and been registered on the electoral roll at every address, but have still kept the address on my current account as my parents house. I've lived in blocks of flats where post has a habit of going missing, so getting important post sent to my family home always seemed like a sensible option.
It's started to worry me now though that this might be a problem when it comes to mortgage applications, as my credit history might not match up. Does it look dodgy that I have had a separate address on my bank account to the one on the electoral roll?
This might be a total non-issue but I'm very new to all this so any advice would be appreciated

I would class this as an issue that can easily be overcome. Much will come down to the lender, as some will have a bigger issue than others.
You have a sensible reason for the anomaly and therefore imagine it will be fine.
When you speak to your advisor, just ensure they know in advance.
Best of luckI am a Mortgage Broker
