Changing bank

Will me changing who i bank with effect me in obtaining a mortgage? Ive been with HSBC all my life and i would like to change.

    No it won't as long as you keep yiur banking in good order you will be fine. If however you are over your overdraft limit etc then that's a different story

    Thats not correct nuzik.

    It MAY have an effect as it involves a credit check. Every credit check shows on your credit report and that may impact your score. Chances of it being a deal breaker is very slim, but it could be.

    If it effects their credit that much they have more issues than the account. Are you changing account to get a better deal with the lender?
