    Now motivated I searched for the Egyptian recipe which was the reason for buying the Sumac in the first place! But can I find it! I thought it was in a little book I have "Apricots on the Nile" but it isn't. A Google search of Sumac has found me some Lebanese recipes which sound rather nice so watch this space .....!!

    Try sprinkling sumac over potato wedges, tossed in a little oil and roasted in the oven. Serve with a creamy dip. I've also used chunks of carrot, so suppose you could try with other root veggies.
    Also nice sprinkled over a tray of mixed veggies for roasting. I tend to use onions, tomatoes, peppers, courgettes and mushrooms.
