Kindest to hands?

I have a kenwood chef that I use for baking. My hands are really quite poor now so I need help with chopping, grating etc. What's the best thing to get, an attachment for the chef or a food processor? I need what ever I get to be easy on my hands so not tricky to put together or take apart & everything must be able to go in a dishwasher. Many thanks.

Buy a seperate food processor with slicing and grating blades. The Kenwood chef, although a brilliant piece of kit is very expensive when it comes to attachments. I use the tefal food processor by Jamie Oliver. I have had it for a few years and it is something I could not be without when preparing food. At the time, I think it cost me £69.99 so it's probably much cheaper now and definitely cheaper than all the Kenwood attachments you would have to buy.

I got the slicer/grater/chopper attachment for my Kenwood for Christmas. I am intending to retire my food processor as I only ever use it for coleslaw, and the new attachment will do this. It has 7 different slicing disks, and the food goes through a chute into your own bowl, whereas a food processor has it's own bowl. The only part that won't go into dishwasher is the gearbox. Haven't tried it out yet but looks to be a really sturdy piece of kit.
