Just skipped a few pages, trying to pack for NYC tomorrow morning...

    Sorry a bit OT but....

Please be aware of poss dangers on long haul flight (anything 4hrs+). I've just emerged from a scary stay in hospital after having a life-threatening DVT/PE, deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, (blood clots in leg then lungs). It happened due to long haul flights to/from Peru in Nov. Best advice I have been given, (hope it's OK to pass on), is not to sleep on a flight cos then you are mostly inactive. So hard to do I know but remaining even slightly active can stop blood from pooling and forming dangerous clots. Hope I haven't worried you unduly, (it's very rare it happens so they say!) Also watch out for breathlessness and any, even slight, leg pain afterwards.

Hope you have a wonderful time.

    *envious* :o

Afternoon luvlies, just had a mighty thunderstorm here, now it's come over all bright and sunny.

Thanks to zipster for letting us know about the Udis again ;) and to wookeyhole for the Linky. Not available to order from my ex Netto but just collected from my larger store.

Wasn't sure of the price in the larger store so just did a couple as a test shop. All good, funny thing is I thought I was charged for them as showing on my paperwork, but I wasn't as checked the total and when I checked my order to get the APG, it came up unavailable against the Udis :o

When you go back into A.com, it's showing as unavailable **at your ex-Netto** store. If you book a slot at your larger store, then go back to look at your order, it will show as normal.

I had the same situation with pink poo the other day. Went back to look at my completed/successful order and it showed as unavailable.

  • Have a wonderful time! It's my favourite place in the whole world :) One thing I would suggest is buy a 7 day unlimited metrocard which will get you everywhere you need to go and beyond on the subway AND the buses, especially when time isn't your side and you get weary feet/legs (which you will). Best $30 spend ever :)

You can also use it on the Roosevelt Island Aerial Tram which is a hidden gem in NY and just round from Bloomies. Google it for more details. 5 min aerial tram ride over to the island which you can wander round or jump back or the tram again. Great views.

I absolutely love NYC - haven't been though since 2009

I love the metro too - only problem is there are virtually no escalators or lifts so be prepared for lots of going up and down steps - especially to deeper lines
NO MORE HANDWASH GLITCHES PLEASE :D:D
